| Post subject: | PLM v1 and v2 - do old diffusors fit? |
From time to time I love to help the economy. My four PLMs v1 work fine, but of course the newer ones are better and I will replace them with v2. I am hopeful the new ones are a little more comfortable to setup on location. Sometimes these big beasts drive me crazy.... on some days my fingers are all thumbs. Do the old White Front Diffusion Fabrics fit? |

If your fabrics use the drawstring, then they will still fit. If they use the grommets, they may or may not still fit, as those require fairly tight tolerances to fit correctly. Since we have changed the design of the PLM, the fit will likely have changed. As for set up, the draw string style fabrics are far easier to deploy than the grommet style. The new PLM (8mm style) is as easy to deploy as the old version PLM. |
