Below is what I now own. What is the proper way to equalize the modeling lights with the Cyber Commander for best WYSIWYG use?

Einstein E640     640ws       250w,supplied
WL Ultra 1200     600ws       250w,BBA1
WL Ultra 600      300ws       250w,BBA1

Also, the WL Ultra instructions mention the "relative model switch" as follows:
Ultra setting: 0 = 500w, -1 = 300w, -2 = 150w
Does that mean you can output 500w or 300w from a 250w bulb and never the rated 250w?

Well, at "0" the BBA1 bulb is consuming 250W. However, with the way the bulb is designed, it emits a similar amount of light as a 500W bulb normally (it is essentially a 60VAC filament running on 120VAC). This is why they have such a short life when running at full power.

The way I would suggest setting up your lights would be to set the E640 to full, the U1200 to -1 and the U600's at -2 (assuming you are using BBA1's).

If you use normal 250W bulbs, then use 0 on the 1200 and -1 on the 600's.

Also, it is worth noting. Wattage is not a measurement of light output. It is a measurement, in this case, of power consumption. So the BBA1 is still consuming 250W, but it is brighter than a regular halogen bulb which also is consuming 250W.


Lumens would be the measurement used for light output.
