Should one top of the residual charge in the Vagbond Mini prior to a shoot?

Seems the charger runs a long time to top off (3 hours) and I don't know if it measuring the voltage of the remaining battery level, or restarting from scratch.

Say a day or two prior to a outdoor shoot. Run the thing the full day before a shoot, or just ignore it if already charged a week or more prior?

Tia.

The VML will hold a charge for a considerable amount of time, though all batteries do dissipate a portion of their charge over time. If a VML battery has been sitting for a week, you are probably OK. Even a month probably will not have bled off to much charge.

It does not hurt to top off the charge if you think you may need the full capacity. The charger uses a voltage comparitor to know when the battery is fully charged. It does not need to start from scratch.
