Hi there, ( I hope I can make myself understandable.)

I had an AB800 that was plugged with Vagabond mini at 1/4 power, after firing it for a while the AB started to smell like burning.
I turned it off for 15 minutes, turned it back on and it would fire the AB but only once, then i had to turn it off and back on AGAIN so it would fire it only once AGAIN, and so on.
On the other hand, when i turned the modeling lamp on, it started flickering.

THE FUNNY THING IS:

When I plugged the AB to the electrical outlet the AB light would not fire AT ALL and the modeling lamp would work perfectly without flickering.

This has happened to me with another AB800 that i already had to have repaired (overseas ) but never had the Vagabong mini taken a look at.

My questions are: IS THE VAGABOND MINI THAT IS BLOWING UP MY AB800 LIGHTS? , IS THE BATTERY OF THE VAGABOND GIVING ME PROBLEMS? or IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH MY AB800 LIGHTS?

What is your opinion?, what advice can you give me? what should i do?

I would love to send my equipment to you so you can have it checked but i am overseas at the moment and is not possible to ship it for now.

Thank you so much for taking your time and reading this message.

Juan Nieto

Are both the B800 and the Vmini 220V?

The flickering of the model lamp is not terribly surprising, as the VML is not powerful enough to run the model lamp at full power.

As for the light not working, are you getting a green ready light on the back panel of the AB800?

Are you using a remote in the telephone connection (square connection marked "REMOTE") of the light? If so, remove this cord and try again.

Has the light been plugged into 220VAC power?
