Hey everyone, glad to be a part of the forum. Hoping to learn more about these great products. I have been picking up units used on ebay for a few months and have recently picked up an ABR800. I have a question about housing damage though. This unit has a crack on the side of the unit (about 2 inches - hairline, but visible). I'm thinking that it got dropped but I can't be sure since it was purchased from a pawn shop (I think). So far, the flash unit is working (power levels, fan, control panel, flash). The only issue so far has been that one of the modeling light strings is out. I am going to order another set to finish testing.

My question is, has anyone dropped one of these units before? Any issues afterwards? Anything I should be on the lookout for?

Thanks!

The unit may be fine. Or there may be damage to internal components. To have the unit looked at and housing repaired would be about $40. If there is significant internal damage, there could be a higher estimate.
