So I have 4 WL x800s, stands, a couple softboxes, Vagabond Mini, and associated cables etc. I'm looking for something in which I can carry all, or most to avoid multiple trips back and forth when unloading my gear. I found the one below and I'm wondering if anyone has any other suggestions.

Thanks,

Charles

That case is too short to fit the light stands in (assuming they are our 13' stands). Additionally, that case is 24lbs, empty. with 4 lights, 4 13' stands, a VML, and the case, you are looking at 60lbs of gear, all at once. Add to that the softboxes and other sundry items you have.

Yes they are the 13' stands. The weight isn't a big issue with a rolling case. The issue, for me, is making multiple trips rather one trip and equipment set up. Is there any other case(s) you would/could recommend?

Thanks

While I certainly understand it is on wheels, I am thinking about getting it into and out of a car. Not discouraging you, just illustrating a flip side.

As for a recommendation, no, I do not have a specific recommendation.

This is what I use: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-48-in-Job-Box-BMJB4824/203645735

4) WL X800
2) PCB Giant Soft boxes
3) PCB Heavy duty 12' light stands
2) PCB Back light stands
1) 3' Step ladder
1) PCB 7" Honey Comb Grids
1) PCB Vagabond mini Lithium battery.
2) 50' extension cords.
1) Power strip.
NOTE: Additional room available for muslin backdrop and stands.

I put it on a hand truck and can take my whole studio with me. I slide box off of the hand truck into the back of my Nissan Xterra then put the hand truck in next to it. When I get to my location I reverse the loading process. I used to have to make multiple trips in and out of my location now I only take one in and one out. After I'm on location I use the top as a tabletop on which to lay various tools meters, dark clothes, film backs etc. BTW this would not work as an airline case.

I'll take pics and post them tomorrow.
