Today I plugged in one of my Einstein units, and it automatically started strobing really fast and repeatedy (like disco strobes). I turned off the unit and started it again, and the same happened. I did the same thing several times, tried the function button, making adjustments, etc. but it just kept on firing. I disconnected the power cord, and attached my second Einstein unit, with the same receiver, and the same power cord and it worked fine. Any idea what this could be? Thank you, Fred :? :?: |

Were you using a CyberSync system? If so, it could be a near dead battery in the CST. Was the slave eye on? It could be a flickering light setting the light off (possibly even a fluorescent light in some conditions). If not a CyberSync system, what remote system were you using? |

I'm using the Cyber Commander. The batteries are good. My camera with the cyber commander unit was nowhere close to the strobe. I do have fresh batteries in it anyway. Also, when I plugged in the second unit, that unit worked fine. No issue at all, and I used that unit with the cyber commander to do the practice shots I was trying. |

Was the slave eye on on the first light? Have you tried a different wall outlet? The second light was fine, even with the same receiver. But, were both lights on the same frequency? If the above factors are eliminated as possibilities, then the issue is likely internal, and the light would need to be serviced. |
