I have a bunch of PCB softboxes and I'm looking to use them with some continuous LED lights for video that I just recently purchased. The LED lights have the bowens S mount. I noticed that there is an insert in the paul buff box that can be removed... I found this on B&H but I'm not sure if the diameter is correct... http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/8 ... R_FOR.html

Does anyone know if this is the right size or if there is another adapter that is confirmed to work?

Thanks in advance.

I think the one you linked to will be too big in diameter. However, the one below should work. Just be sure to choose the correct adapter. You may want to contact them to verify the size.

I found an old thread on this forum citing that the discontinued red wing adapter would work...

The reviews sections say that it works with PCB boxes...the MFR number is RD6210. What's interesting about this is that the other insert I linked has a similar MFR number (RD-6210). I'm wondering if these are the same.

Huh. They do seem to be the same product. It appears Red Wing was a Bowens brand in the late 90's. And perhaps they are phasing out the name?

Ergo. The original adapter should fit.
