I cannot move far enough away from the E640 (at Full Power) to recalibrate the CC
to F\1.0.
Help please.

I kinda' chewed out my tech people just now for not providing better info for the Lo Calibration.

First, I suggest you turn the flashpower down to minimum power - not Full, for the Lo Cal. Using Einstein, you should be able to get down to f1.0 by just moving the meters away from the flash.

Second, try pointing the flash toward one wall, and with the CC and Sekonic placed the behind that wall, facing the opposite wall, see if you can get down to f1.0.

If it's still to bright, try doing the Lo Cal at f2.0 instead of f1.0.

I'm shooting from the hip here because I'm not in Nashville right now.

should i being using a soft box/octobox or a reflector when doing the recalibration?

I know we discussed this via phone, but for posterity, any modifier (or even no modifier) will work. I think a softbox would be easiest, but there is no right or wrong answers.
