This may be a silly question, but on some of your lights swivel joints at the stand connection I've seen cork washers for the locking part.

I was thinking mine were getting crumbly so I replaced mine with rubber ones, but they do seem to slip a lot.

Is a cork washer less prone to slipping over the rubber washers?

Tia.

The only lights that had cork washers were the Ultras. The Ultra ZAP and early Xseries had leather, and the X-series was later changed to neoprene. The neoprene tends to hold rather well on the X-series lights, and I would imagine them to on Ultras, though I have not seen any test data on that. However, I have noticed the neoprene does perform better after a few uses.

(p.s. sorry for the late reply. I had typed a reply, and thought it was submitted. Apparently not.)

I re-did the cork ones for some rubber ones. The round ones slipped a lot. Made these so they were 1.2" wide so they couldn't swivel in the Ultra clamp as they were retained by the groove.

Managed to survive 30MPH wind gusts with an umbrella so I guess that was okay.
