Will be shooting models outdoors next week without any AC power available.

I searched the forum and could not find a comment on number of pops using a VML powering 2 Elinchrom RX600s. How many "pops" will the VML support. Full power and say 1/2 power.

Cheers

You should get about 500 pops for one RX600 at full power, 250 pops for two, and about twice this at 1/2 power. You may get a tad more than this at one pop per 10 seconds, and a bit less if the shoot lasts a long time.

OK thanks. Just ordered last night with rush delivery. Was not sure if the extra expense of a battery would be needed. In the future will pick up a spare battery, for now keeping expenses to a minimum for the shoot. Buying instead of a rental as I''ll be doing more of these not less.

Will let you know the outcome of the shoot.

Thanks for the help!

Got the VML, charged up in about an hour and a half, so it must come partially charged. Tested it all out before the session. The shoot went great.

Used a pair of Elinchrom RX600s and Skyport triggers to control the lights and trigger them.

I shot about 160 pics. No problems at all, didn't even think about the VML. Will get another soon. A friend of mine came along, and he'll be ordering a VML for himself.

Thanks for a great product!
