Obviously, not when it's hot :D But we had a shoot last week where we burned through the vagabond mini because someone accidentally turned the modeling light on with one of our einsteins. Normally I turn them off with the cybercommander but I only use the cyber for power settings so the modeling light got turned on and stayed on for a couple hours. So, i'd like to start pulling the bulb before the shoots but just wondering if finger oil will cause the bulb to overheat later? |

Finger oils on the halogen lamps can cause excess local heating of the lamps can "bubble" the quartz envelope and cause early failures. So it's wise to just use a paper towel when handling the lamps. |
