If I have two WL 1800 Ultras, and need 100 feet of cord coming off an outlet rated at 15 amps on its breaker. What size gauge of wire for the cord do I need to keep from erratic firing or low voltage?

I see a light duty, medium, and heavy duty 100 foot spools in the hardware store. I think the wire is 16, 14, and 12 in size off the boxes. Price really rockets up on the 12 gauge (Heavy duty, but it is sort of neat in that it has alight at then end to tell if it is still on.

14 gauge is fine. The worst that can happen is a very slight increase in recycle time due to the cord resistance. No danger or fire hazard. Always use three prong grounded extension cords.

So would 12 gauge eliminate any increase in recycle time?

Yes, but the difference is likely so minute as to not really be noticeable either way.
