I've got an ABR800 (obviously they are all 110V) and i need to the know the right transformer. The ones i've seen have wattage rating's attached, 100W being the largest i've seen without it being a huge block (like the size of Vagabond 2). Does that wattage matter ? The battery on my V2 is bust i think (holding 2.3v's so i don't think it would ever recover with charging) and both my V1 and Vmini are 230V as are all my lights. Can't get another battery that fits the V2 bag, which sucks !! |

You will need a 500W true magnetic transformer, which will be rather large and heavy. Alternatively, you can get a 120V inverter that you can use with the current VML battery, or buy another complete 120V VML. As for replacement VII batteries, check places that service mobility scooters and golf carts. They are more likely than auto parts stores to carry them. |

I bought a 300w transformer, it's pretty heavy. It seemed to work fine. Would it be bad for the ring flash with it being 300w ? Its only for light use and for using the modelling light as video ring light tbh. I'm gonna replace the battery in the VM2 no matter what. 300w Is the biggest Maplin does (our version of RadioShack) I would love to just get another VML, there is so much I want from you guys, love the products so much but I get abused with our customs duties and vat when I get stuff shipped over. I pay almost the same price of the product again in duties and taxes. I can get 12v 12ah batts but they are the wrong size for the case (I've got one that I refently replaced on my vagabond one) 12v 20ah are hard to find in retail stores but available online although the a bit pricey for what they are (works out about 120 bucks including shipping) but again, not the right dimensions. Would it be possible to replace the VM2 battery with a lithium version, what specs would it need to suit the inverter? |

300W will suffice if you are not putting it under heavy use. There has not been a lithium battery we have found suitable. This battery should be available locally, and should be the right size. http://www.affordablegolf.co.uk/product ... battery-7/ |

Can i use a gel version ? I've found a 12V 20ah or 22ah gel version. I'd pefer gel due to its low discharge rate and lack of sulfation. however, i know gel batteries sometimes need different chargers to SLA batts, will the charger in the V2 be ok ? |
