Post subject:  Newbie lighting question

I am a hobbyist who has decided to become a bit more serious. I am brand new to lighting. I am also new to having a decent camera having just invested in a Canon 5D mark iii.

I have purchased an Einstein with cybersyncs and a vagabond mini. I did not buy the cyber commander as I just couldn't stretch the budget (I am in Australia and shipping the Einstein and vagabond cost me a small fortune).

Anyway, after taking some lighting classes I am aware of how useful it would be to have at least one speedlight also to light behind a subject (a hairlight, I think?)

I cannot afford Canon so am looking at a Yognugo 600. However, I would need to use the Yognugo off camera and was wondering how I would get the Yognugo to sync with the Einstein. Note: I don't mind having to manually change the settings on the Yognugo.

Is there a way for me to get the Yognugo to sync with the Einstein?

Thanks in advance, and apologies for the dumb question.

It appears it has a basic slave function, though you will need to confirm with the manufacturer, retailer, or trusted user.

If so, just set the YN600 to optical slave (not the E-TTL slave) and when the Einstein fires, so will the YN600.

You could get a CyberSync receiver, but I would only suggest that if you get a Cyber Commander (for the ability to individually trigger and meter each light).
