Hey guys - any possibility of making a larger PLM? Call me crazy, I use the 86 (and the 64) all the time, but when shooting two people or more, I could use something even larger.

I love the quality of light used with the Einstein, and the zooming is nothing short of amazing, I just need a bit more.

I guess you would like a 120" PLM. Doable, but would require pretty much a whole new design because of the weight on the shafts and mounting to Einstein or other light.

Are you using Extreme Silver or Soft Silver.

Using the extreme, and diffusion fabric when I want something a bit softer.
I use the size to my advantage - depending on distance and zoom I can make this puppy act like a beauty dish, octabox or reflector. Not to blow hot smoke or anything, but I'm a VERY happy customer.

120" would totally work. I'd also be OK mounting the Einstein to the umbrella, with the umbrella mounted on a c-stand, less stress on the light! Maybe a bigger shaft and stronger speedring attachment?

I think another limitation is the ability of the user to open the umbrella--the 86-inch already maxes out my arm length to open it.

If you use two hands and "choke" on the umbrella shaft while opening the umbrella with the other, it's pretty easy. This would scale to a larger umbrella.
