Post subject: | E640 Modeling lamp heat |
Can anyone provide insight re: how long the modeling lamp can stay on without overheating? My example is with using 2x3 soft boxes close in to the subject (Headshots). Typically in a clamshell setup with power set at least to mid level, or possibly higher. The modeling light benefit for me is to reduce the pupil size, more flattering appearance to the eyes. One of the many technical benefits to PCB products are the ability to run off ac power Vs only battery. My studio is mobile but almost always has access to power. Thank you for any feedback. |

The length of time an E640 can run off a model lamp is indefinite. Factors such as ambient temperature, position, rate of fire, air flow, etc. Normally, you should not have any problems letting it run continuously, especially if the model lamp is reduced at all. However, I can't say it will never happen. |
