Hello,
Im using some B800 alienbees and pocket wizards to trip the lights. The company I work for are doing a shoot coming up where we need to use many lights with different channels between photographers. We only have a limited amount of triggers and have enough for every camera and half the lights.

What I'm wondering is, if I use a phone cable to connect 2 alienbees will the settings on the back be ignored? I tested it out with 2 lights, a phone cord, and one trigger on one light and tested the trigger and it fired both lights. But I'm afraid that it will be either full power or will ignore the power set with this setup. Is that true? can anyone confirm that?

Thank you for your time

You do not want to run an RJ11 between the two lights. This can lead to undesired results from your lights.

What you can do is use a Y splitter at one light and run a mini phone to mini phone cable between them.
