Hello,

I just have a persistent issue with my cyber commander joysticks. The right one will not register at all when moved to the right, and has a bit of an issue going to the left. It gives that lil' click feed back when pushed to the left, but no click feedback at all when pressed to the right. Not an issue since I can just cycle through everything by pressing left.

The left joystick, clicks in all directions and works fine in all directions except for pressing up. On a shoot this morning, I couldn't even increase the power at all on my lights remotely, and was about ready to flip out as I thought I'd need to send it in for repair but need it for shoots all this week. Luckily today's shoot was just a test one and not a client.

When I got home, I was about to wiggle the left joystick when pressed up to make it register and increase power on the lights, so I can deal with that and wait till I just buy a new cyber commander or can send it in for repair and have it as a back up. My question is, is there anything I can do my end to fix the joysticks, or will it need to be sent in eventually, and what is the cost? I did send it in a year or two ago to fix the joysticks but the screen needed to be fixed as well.

Thanks for the help!

About the only thing you can do is to click the joystick in the opposite direction and blow out underneath. If that does not fix it, then the unit will need to come in. If that is the case, there are two tiers of repair costs for Cyber Commander. $35 for basic repairs or $70 if they need to replace the board. The joysticks are tricky to manually replace, so a board replacement is quite possible.

Also, please note, all repairs that are sent in are subject to the diagnostic fee (the $35, in this case) and all repairs up to $85 are automatically assumed authorized for repair.
