Hi PCB

I'm puzzled by the PLM speed ring models being discontinued. Your literature stresses repeatedly the performance benefits of the speed ring. How can that no longer be true ?

The sale prices are great but the explanation is a head scratcher. The speed ring is better but customers are confused by the many choices ? Really ? I admit the instructions are a bit confusing, but not the difference in models for ordering.

If confusion is a concern are there plans to update the Cyber Commander ?

Please explain

Thanks a lot !

Really the only surface that benefits from being on axis is the Extreme Silver. When we revamped the PLM line, Paul changed (improved) the parabolic shape and put the umbrella on axis. The new PLM was a huge step up in performance. By popular request, we added the 8mm shaft version a while later, and concurrently added the soft silver surface.

During testing, we found the 8mm shaft PLM's do sag, but sag down to effectively center themselves. The improved shape and resultant projected pattern is what sets the PLM apart from the original iteration copies.

As of now, there are no immediate plans to replace Cyber Commander.
