Post subject:  Coffee Can Lights

My last WL 5000 just stopped working (trigger circuit, I think) so I'm putting a WL 10000 into service for headshots. On the 5000 units, someone at PCB long ago told me about bending a pin on a component inside to keep the modeling light from functioning as a ready light (it's a bit disconcerting in a dark studio when the main light goes off then comes back on).

I plan to open up one of them, see how I did it and do the same to a 10000 unit. I thought I'd check here for suggestions/warnings. Thanks

Due to the inherent dangers of opening a flash unit, I cannot recommend or provide instruction to internal service of our lights on our forum. Perhaps you can give us a call, and ask for Joe. He wasn't immediately sure of the mod you spoke of, but is looking into it.
