I notice that the PLM is not available in 86-inch silver except close out. I want a large softbox effect (I have two of these). Can I assume the remaining extreme silver with front fabric will give me a soft light? I'm curious why the larger models are being discontinued. I think I have soft silver umbrellas currently but not entirely sure as I have only one type. |

The Extreme silver with front fabric will give you a similar look to soft silver with fabric, though the front face may not be as even (this could be an issue in specular highlights, like glass reflections). We will continue to carry the white PLM in the 86" size, however, and that will give very soft lighting when used with a diffusion fabric. |

It has been discontinued, and we have no anticipation for re-releasing it. |
