Hi,

I have a Einstein 640/Cyber Commander that I use with my Nikon D750 in my home studio. I am thinking about getting the Nikon SB-5000 speed light for using on camera when I am away from my home studio.

I would also like to be able to use the Nikon SB-5000, off camera, as a secondary light along with the Einstein 640 in the studio.

Does anyone know if the Nikon SB-5000 can be optically triggered when the Einstein 640 flashes? If not, is there a way to trigger the Nikon SB-5000 using the Cyber Commander?

Most Nikon flashes support "SU4" mode, which is a basic optical slave mode. You will need to refer to the Nikon manual to see if this is supported on this unit.

Additionally, using a CSRB+ will allow you to fire the speedlight, as well as group and meter the speedlight, as though it was one of our lights. It will not, however, support power adjustment.
