I'm hoping you can help me out...
I have an Ultra Zap 2400 and 1600 that have been sitting in a case in my garage for a few years. I remember reading somewhere online a year or so ago something about after a flash has been unused for a long period of time, that you should not just fire it up and start popping off flashes right away.
The article said to set it at a low setting and pop off a bunch of flashes..... the reason had something to do with the gasses in the flash tube.... or that they need to be re-coated... (with what, I don't know) I cant remember exactly the reason.
Does this make any sense to you, or am I sounding like a crazy person? Is there anything that should be done to used flashes that have been sitting on the shelf for a long time?
I'm selling the units to a friend and I want to make sure that they're in the best shape possible.
Thanks.
