PowerMC2 for Einstein

Yes. That's been our policy for 28 years now. One caveat: Nothing wrong with Einstein's "radio", rather, an upgrade to Einstein's compatibility with a competitor's product. We, like Canon, could have left the fix to PW but choose to improve our product instead.

Current Einstein shipping has a partial PW fix but the total fix will take several weeks to fully implement at a cost of several hundred thousand $ to us.<---

Hello Paul,

that is the greatest message for me so far this week gadgetwise (yes, I give my repentance because of the costs for fixing/ updating the units).

As a UK-customer not having yet received my 2 pre-ordered Einstein-Units (order-no below 20) will I be amongst the customers you will ship the "new" advanced Einsteins to?

I will use them with Pocket Wizards and Canons DSLRs.

Thank you.

Yes, it's likely you will received the improved versions.

Thank you Paul,

can the fixes for the fullest compatibility with the welcomed future PW-PowerMC2 be done via a firmware update of existing EINSTEINs?

Will your hard work featuring R&D for best performance with PowerMC2 "reach" my soon to be shipped UK-ordered EINSTEIN-units?

The EMI/range issue can only be solved by power supply rework, now in progress. As for firmware updating to marry Power MC-2 and Einstein, we are working with PW on this now. Don't know exactly what changes need to be made to Einstein firmware yet until PW tells us. But, yes, I assume accepting Power MC-2 will only require firmware update.

Hello, anything new, that is important for us upcoming users of PowerMC2 which will be sold by PCB?

Any new definitions of the term "fall"? Will the delivery be in "winter" or early 2012?

Thanks a lot.

This is a Pocket Wizard product. They are designing this, we are only providing some operational input. The most accurate information would be obtained from PW.
