If I turn off my vagabond after light use (50 flashes), and try to use it again a few minutes later the vagabond will power on but my flash will not power on. If I try again some time later it works as expected. This was after a full recharge of the battery. Is this normal behaviour for the vagabond?

This is a brand new vagabond unit.

That is not normal. Since it is a brand new unit, contact Customer Service to arrange a replacement.
