Maybe I missed this, but I couldn't find it in the docs on the CC....

The color temperature and flash duration displayed on the CC, is this actually measured by the CC or is it just delineated base on the lights spec'ed during setup based on the models selected?

Just curious if it's actual as measured or based on known lights.....

Thanks
Garrett

It is not measured by the CC - color meters are $1200 and, even at that price, not very accurate. The durations and color temperatures are measured from the light's performance in the lab, using RAW and reference cards and are stored in lookup tables in CC. They are accurate, but cannot determine changes in color temperature induced by light modifiers or shooting environment.
