When the unit is connected to the AC outlet both the green and red light are lit up and when you turn the unit converter on they work fine with anything plugged in. But as soon as you unplug the charger from the unit every light turns off and the Vegabond is useless. Is this normal? what could the problem be? Thanks!

Check the connections between the inverter (orange part) and battery (black or grey part). Also check the fuses are good. The fuse or fuses can be found on the red wire or on the bottom of the inverter. Check the battery for swelling, cracks, or the smell of rotten eggs/sulfur. This would indicate a bad battery. If the battery has not been charged in some time, I would also suspect a bad battery.
