I've been using AB's for several years (Love them) and the Cyber Synch remotes (Not so much). I went to the CS system to save money rather than dump so much on a Pocket Wizard system. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is bugged by having the remotes turned on constantly by any movement in my camera bag. The lack of an on/off switch is such an obvious shortcoming. They also turn off at opportune times if I have to be away for an hour or so. Is this going to be fixed? has anyone monkeyed around to install a switch?

The auto off feature is part of the design philosophy of the battery powered recievers. A user installed switch could keep a unit from turning on, but turning off after an hour of non use is programed into the firmware, which a switch would not help. Additionally, if your remotes have the reddish brown on/test button, trimming the test button flush to the case can help alleviate accidental power on of the reciever, and it will not void the warranty.

AC powered receivers do not turn off unless power is removed.
