Just curious how others attach the cybersync to their alienbee?

Im not talking about the wire... I mean velcro, etc..

I obviously don't want to just have the receiver dangling. What are my options?

Currently I velcro the receiver over the alienbee logo(above the adjustable power slider)

I feel like its a matter of time before the receiver falls.

I was also curious is there a rigid plug to connect the receiver to the bee? I.e. no cord. Basically just two plug ends?

Double male plugs exist, but I would not recommend using them. My CSRB's I will let dangle from the sync cord if the light is not moving, or I will loop a rubberband around itself over the antenna (kinda like a prusik knot) if I will be moving a light around.

so you like prussik the antenna and just hang the rubber band on a lightstand knob?

Sounds like the antenna would just slip out of the prusik.

I've tried this around the entire body of the CSRB and it much more secure. Maybe a smaller rubber band would work around the antenna.

With the elasticity of the rubber band along with the friction of the band, I have never had a problem. I would not try this with something like cotton string.

I see, the elasticity does help.. Yeah that works pretty decent. I feel safer with the whole body wrapped.

I use the CSRB+ receivers and I got a few lanyards for small cameras, that are meant to go over your wrist, and hooked them to the loop on the CSRB+ and hang them from that. They were super cheap from my local camera store, maybe $1 each and work perfect!
