My first Cyber Commander arrived with what looks like a crack in the lower left part of the screen, behind the plastic protective cover with a small chip on top of it.

My second Cyber Commander arrived with what looks like a fine crack in the upper left part of the screen and a small plastic chip dead center, also under the protective cover.

Both of them arrived with fine scratches on the protective cover and more dust and tiny hairs under the protective cover then I thought possible.

Who is putting these protective covers on? The Hulk? Perhaps less force is really needed to snap them on? Sometimes Bruce Banner > The Hulk.

Why is The Hulk forced to snap these protective covers in what must assuredly be the dustiest room in the known Universe?

I just hope that the 3rd time around I get a CC that has no crack, no chip, and no dust (or at least very little--although for the cost I would think none would be the norm).

Speaking of very little, the "manual" for the CC really shows why it is necessary to spend a bit of money and have an outside technical writer come in.

And please, please, can't we get a firmware update with full, 1/2, and 1/3 stops...Please...

Sorry my post is mostly negative and based on opening the box of my 2nd CC. Not meaning to be just a complainer...

Love all my ABs!

Customer service is great!

Shipping is amazingly fast!

Sorry for the delay in response. I do see we are getting another replacement out to you, and I appologize for the necessity of two replacements. We are looking into the matter, and altering assembly proccedures to prevent this from happening.

Thank you for the reply.

I received my newest CC, and while there is a small plastic chip between the protective screen and the LCD, it is small enough to look past (sort of). I think these small plastic bits are from the protective screen itself, when The Hulk smashes it down he must inadvertently break off some small pieces from the notched area and they become sandwiched between both screens.

The dust and hairs are still readily apparent but not so much with the unit on and it seems that no matter how many times I get a replacement these issues will remain. The CC itself works, and my ladder is now going in the garage. I do have issues with using a CRSB+ and the CC with an AB but that is another post...

For some reason my $1 calculator and my $20 clock, both from "overseas", have no plastic bits, dust nor hair between screen and protector.

I guess Godzilla > The Hulk.

We don't want you to have to "look past" this. We want you to have the best product possible. Someone will be contacting you shortly about this.
