I have an older Ultra 1200 that has been working like a champ for quite some time... Recently it began getting inconsistent firing from the sync socket (regardless of using a cable or radio triggers) but was still pretty consistent using the optical slave... It continued to get worse over the last month or two and now it will not fire hardly at all. Even pressing the test button only gets a flash maybe one out of 15 times. Green light lights up, and it flickers off briefly when pressing the test button, but no flash other than occasionally.

I'm planning on packing it up and sending it in tomorrow, but wanted to see if anyone might have a rough idea what's wrong and ballpark turn-around times and prices? I've got an event coming up in a couple weeks and I am trying to figure out if I am better off buying a new flash.

Thanks!

Chris

Assuming you ship it to us here in the US, pretty much any repair is covered under the $50 diagnostic fee, not including flashtubes and model lamps. There are some exceptions to this rule, however the light would need to be inspected before we can determine anything further. Turnaround time in house is typically 4-6 business days (M-F).
