Post subject: | Vagabond II troubles... |
Hello, The answer to this question may have been covered in the forum before but I am new and hoping someone could shed some light on my situation. I used my Vagabond II with a power strip to power my two B800s simultaneously on location and have had great results. However, the passed few times I've used it, it has been extremely temper-mental. It will fire once or twice and then start beeping and blinking continuously and no longer firing. I'll shut if off and on and it will either work gain for a shot or two, or will continue to beep. :? I have a busy week of shoots coming up and I need my Vagabond! Any help and/or advice on repairing and/or proper operating procedures will be extremely helpful. Thank you! |

it sounds like a battery going/gone bad. The sealed lead acid style battery does require to be stored fully charged at all times. Once charged, the charge needs to be topped off about once a month or so as the battery will self discharge. If left in a partially (or fully) discharged state, it will sulfate and lose its ability to hold a charge. Also, even if these conditions are met, batteries (all of them) have a finite life, and it could have reached that point. A replacement battery would correct this problem. |

IF a replacement battery is the only way, is it possible for you to link me somewhere that I can look into getting one quickly? Thanks! |

I cant give particulars on who would carry them in your specific location, however, any 12V battery will work with the inverter, however it would have to be a certain size to fit in the bag. Colf carts (apparently golf caddy cart type things) seem to use this battery as well. We can also ship our batteries to the US and most of Canada with expedited shipping. Customer service or our online shopping cart. |
