I've compiled whatever information I can find on these two Vagabonds to compare relevant information. I hope this will be useful/helpful for everyone. Let me know if I need to add/correct anything on here:

Weight
Vagabond II : 18.6lbs
Vagabond Mini : 3.5lbs

Dimensions
Vagabond II : 10.5" x 8.5" x 6"
Vagabond Mini : 2.75" x 4.3" x 7.5"

Price
Vagabond II : $299.95
Vagabond Mini : $239.95 (should be cheaper if you factor in shipping costs (less weight))

Battery
Vagabond II : Sealed Lead Acid, 144 Watt hours
Vagabond Mini : LiCoxNiyMnzO2 Lithium battery, 130 Watt hours, no memory issues, no sulphating

Features
Vagabond II : One outlet, fast/slow switch, carrying bag/straps
Vagabond Mini : USB port (charging iPOD/phone, etc), stand clamp, TWO AC outlets, fuel gauge, quick change battery, option for 120V or 240V output

Performance Comparisons
Data from manuals or whatever information is available to me
Assuming Fast setting on Vagabond II
Recycle times and number of shots are approximate, for comparison sake.

160Ws
Vagabond II : 0.7 seconds recycle, 500-600 shots
Vagabond Mini : 0.8 seconds recycle, 400-500 shots

320Ws
Vagabond II : 1 second recycle, 500-600 shots
Vagabond Mini : 1.5 seconds recycle, 400-500 shots

640Ws
Vagabond II : 2 seconds recycle, 500-600 shots
Vagabond Mini : 3 seconds recycle, 400-500 shots

1280Ws
Vagabond II : 3.5 seconds recycle, 250-287 shots
Vagabond Mini : 7 seconds recycle, 200-250 shots

-------------------------------------

Overall the Vagabond Mini sounds awesome! The size, weight, better battery, and overall close performance to the Vagabond II makes this an instant purchase for me. I think I'll need to buy more than 1!!

Add to that a USB port (charging iPOD/phone, etc), stand clamp, two AC outlets, fuel guage, quick change battery, option for 120V or 240V output, and "fuel guage".

No fast/slow switch, however.

Just a point to clarify, the 120V/240V option is by way of two different models. One Vagabond mini cannot switch output voltage. Just to avoid any possible confusion.

what outlet will be shipped with the 240v version? i.e. will there be a local plug available for each country?

From what I have read from Paul and he can correct me if I'm wrong, it will be the Australian plug. Reasons for this:

* A one plug for all voltages will run the risk of people by mistake frying their light if they do not switch the mini Vag to the correct voltage.
*The Australian plug design is the ideal size to fit the physical space available on the mini.
*The plug is as universal as can be without specifically creating a plug outlet design for every country on the planet. (err...likely not very cost effective)

All in all, with the Einsteins, CC and now the min Vag, I personally believe this is one heck of a system.

Alphabug, if you read this, mate, I'd forget those Elinchrom's.

This primary reason is so that you dont fry a light. The Vagabond wouldnt be at risk from a wrong powered light, but the light very much is. The Vagabond will not be switchable voltage, it would be an either/or option.

Woops! I did realise this. Too much mini Vag on the mind! lol
I corrected the initial post to not confuse anyone else who reads it.
