so....yeah. that was fun to put together. My question is if there are any disadvantages to leaving it assembled other than the pain of hauling it around like that. I was curious if the rods are meant to withstand being continously under strain or if they were made more so just to be bowed when needed for use and not left like that....forever i guess, haha.

The rods can be left bowed in storage. I know it's a pain to disassemble and reassemble.

thank you paul. love the products. that was just a....whew. haha. looking forward to the vagabond mini and thanks for the quick response as always. i figure its only 8 inches bigger than the beauty dish so it shouldn't be too bad to leave assembled.

The MU does have a lot of bits and pieces to assemble. Fortunately, it does get a little easier and faster with practice.
