I have all my PCB stuff - except the Einsteins, their remotes and a PLMv2.
But today, we were celbrating two 7-year olds,m having a big birthday party outdoors. I thought I could try to get a fairly small portable music setup with components I had lying around -
Music player: HTC Desire w/Spotify (online music and syncs tracks offline) Stereo system: 11-year old Pc speakers w/subwoofer (220v --> 12v/1.5A) Power: Vagabond II
I found that my external harddisks had 12v/2a power adapters that take 110-220v inputs, so I swapped the 220v only adapter that originally came with the speakers, with the one from the HDD. Small plug adapter to allow me to plug the Euro-plug into the 110v outlet on the Vagabond - and presto, we had lots of music during the party.
Don't know how much power that system drains - but it ran for 3-4 hours with no problem. I expect the power drain is so small that the inverter will not heat up/get damaged.
I can see using the VII (and hopefully Vagabond mini(s) I pick up in the future, to perform other duties than keeping my flash going :)
