Post subject: | PLM Speedring Question |
I'm trying to screw the positioning rod into the speedring but the either the screw is too long or the threads aren't deep enough in the rod. The screw bottoms out before the rod is tight to the speedring. I had to add 5 washers to the setup to get the rod tight. Is this ok to use like this? |

It wount hurt anything to use it like that, but contact customer service to see about getting a replacement position shaft. |

I had one for my 51" plm like that. I ran a tap though it and that cleaned up the threads. |

Thanks for the quick reply, and I'm sorry if my question seemed a bit snarky, I just hate to see you wasting money on shipping. Your customer service is outstanding and the response and turnaround time is excellent. |

Thanks, my issue is resolved. Some lubricant on the screw, a superclamp to hold the rod still and a little brute force got it done! |
