I ordered the cable from your site, if that doesn't work I will buy your trigger system.
Thanks for the information!
You equipment and customer service was highly recommend from some top guys in the field.
I am happy to say they were right!

Finally remembered to test it this morning before heading to work.
Used the original stereo RP 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and it worked fine. Plugged in a RP JrX studio and pressed the test button to fire it off. Also tried it on my X2400 w/ the 1/4" adapter and that works fine too. The Einstein is a V2.1 (finger fix included) if that matters, but I doubt it does.

I also had the strobes plugged into a VML and they fired w/o problems and didn't lock up from lower voltage.
Time to pester the radiopopper folks about a fully controllable einstein interface again...gotta love remote power control ;-)

Are you saying that you were able to fire the Einstein with the RP JrX. Can you explain where you plugged in the RP 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable on the Einstein. Will this work with my 580 EX 11s in ETTL or manual and the RP JrX on the Einstein? I assume any FEC set on the camera will have no effect on the output of the Einstein though. Is that correct?

Einstein has a sync jack on the back, like all of our studio lights. And no, any power/exposure adjustment will not be relayed to Einstein via teh 3.5mm connection.

I cannot speak of how they will interact with other types of light with various configurations of that brand remote.

TS answered the first/last questions.

You can fire the RP JrX by tying the JrX Transmitter to the pc sync port on your camera or flash (can't remember if the 580ex has a sync port). The flash fires the sync port which then triggers the RP JrX TX so it fires at the same time...

The 580EXII has a PC in only. You cannot attach a Tx to the PC terminal of the flash for triggering. However, the concept should still work from the PC terminal of the camera.

I just happened upon this thread when researching this issue. Can someone clarify whether I need a stereo to mono non-attenuating cable or simply mono to mono? I'm looking into working this way (mixing CLS with the Einstein but controlling its power with the CC).

The RP JrX triggers einsteins fine w/ stereo cables.
The cybersyncs are mono though...plug it in and give it a try...

Thanks. I honestly completely missed the fact that there was a 2nd page to this thread. I was hung up on a post on page 1 that said this didn't work (so I didn't bother trying it). Thanks for clarification. It works just fine.
