No, it is not adjustable via firmware. It would require a hardware change.

So . . . ??

What do I need to do to get the hardware replaced ?

It would require a hardware component to be available, then it would require existing hardware to be able to support it, then we would need to deem it worthwhile and source it, possibly write new firmware, then it would need to come in for us to update it. Currently, there are not options to do this.

Just checking back in to see if any progress has been made regarding replacing the beeper in my Einstein unit with something louder?

I wrote the company with attn: to Paul a while ago and didn't receive any answer.

Can someone please look into seeing if my email was ever received and viewed by either Paul or his tech staff?

There has not been any change to Einstein's beeper as of yet, nor would I expect one soon.

I will have the email looked into.

I have three Einsteins that I just acquired, one new (arrived today) and two that I got from someone who purchased them summer '12 and never used them (still sealed in the box).

One makes a nice audible (but not loud) beep when it recycles, the other two are barely audible. One you can hear it barely over the fan and one you have to actually place your ear on the unit to hear the beep.

Is there anything I can do? These are brand new units.

On the older two, you may want to do a firmware update. This will control fan speed so that it is only running as much as necessary, rather than full speed all the time. This should help with the one you can barely hear. For the one you have to hold your ear against, it may need to come in, if in fact, it cannot be heard without doing so.

Thanks very much. After posting this and spending more time on these forums, I checked the firmware and indeed the older two are on v29. The newer one is v30. I'll pick up a micro SD and update the older ones ASAP.

I'll see how it goes. I've been using AB's for years without the beep, only referencing the modeling light, so we'll see how things work out and perhaps send it in when work slows down if the problem is too bothersome.

Thanks for the quick response.

Just to be clear, only the one really low volume light sounds like it is not functioning properly. The other one sounds like it is within spec.
