Thanks for the heads up. Mine was just over $1600 (US) with the shipping. looks like it's cleared though. I don't have a business setup, (for photography anyway). so i'll be eating the gst anyway. Glad I got in before the HST though, that saves me $150 or so.

Where are you located?

Wow, say what you want about the cost of the Worldwide Super"saver" shipping cost... but about 25 or 26 hours from the time I placed the order online till it just arrived at my door. Woohoo! Too bad I'm not around this weekend to play. :(

Oh yeah, I'm wrong too, I had to pay both PST and GST. I don't think that's right though if the stuff is made in the US.... I'm going to look into that.

I am no expert, but GST and PST should be sales taxes (or what we in the States call sales tax). What you should be exempt from is duty, or import tax. Stuff made here should be exempt, while stuff we send that is made in China may not be as it is not manufactured in the U.S., it just ships from here. I would expect only duty to be affected based on place of manufacture.

Again, this is my understanding, but I am not a Canadian tax advisor! :)

You are correct, some things are pst exempt, but camera/photo gear isn't it. I had a brain fart :)

Derek,

I'm in Regina, SK. And wouldn't you know it....UPS is so efficient, my shipment actually arrived yesterday....but I wasn't here to accept it. My timing sucks bigtime, 'cause I left the office for like 20 minutes, came back and there was a yellow sticky on my door (I'm a one-man operation) Soooooooo.....its supposed to come today between 10 and 2. I hope its 10, because I'm probably gonna miss it again at 2.

TS,

Yes, I have to pay just under $100 in sales taxes. Everything is coming in duty free, as far as I know.

Are you sure they are up to 940-ish?

If it is, that will be great! Won't be very far before AU gets them at this rate.

I really can't wait for it!!! Hope PLM V2 will be available at the same time too. :)
