I guess the good news is by the time my order from June 16th is shipped it might include the redesigned faceplate fingers. The redesigned fingers estimate was 12/10 so it's going to be close.

Well my Einstein that I was told should ship "in the next day or two" last Wednesday still hasn't. I can't even say how ridiculous this is getting, to be told time and time again that it should ship soon only to find out it was a lie to keep customers dumb and happy. Very tempted to just call up and cancel my order. I am okay with delays and changes but to be flat out lied to.. that just boils my blood.

@ kfallscody

My much kinder and polite thread on that (sad waiting) issue was removed a couple of days ago.

I will NOT cancel any of my EU-orders.

A unit I backordered in the first week of May shipped earlier this week and is out for delivery today, hopefully it arrives safe and sound and functional!

If you request your order be held for the new finger design customer service will make sure that happens. I would recommend this to anyone who can afford to wait an extra couple of weeks. We should have the fingers from the new mold in about 10 days, but they then have to be tested, produced and assembled.

My lights #4, 5, and 6 arrived on Tuesday with the fingers that will be replaced (aka "Badfinger"). I certainly don't need them, as my v1 lights #1, 2, and 3 are ok for now (supplemented by three other lighting products). I don't plan to unpack 4, 5, and 6. If customer service would like those three Badfinger units back now, I can certainly do that. As Badfinger might croon, "If you want it, here it is, come and get it..."

As a Buff customer, I find this all to be a matter of not sweating the small stuff. I am very happy with my purchase and on a dissatisfaction scale of 1 (not at all dissatisfied) to 10 (outrageously dissatified), I'd give it a 1.03. I'm still more concerned about the Buff team getting their post-flood personal lives back to normal. They've done yeoman service for us in the face of their own personal disasters, and I, for one, am grateful to them.

I work in the power utility industry and my company hosted a meeting a few months back where the head of Nashville Electric gave a very interesting talk on their lessons learned from the flooding and how they have re-worked some of their emergency preparedness. The stories and pictures that he had were just incredible. It is really remarkable how you guys picked yourselves up and got back to life with little fanfare and drama and you should be commended for it.

Here is a link to another presentation that has about 30 pictures of the flood's aftermath: http://www.narucmeetings.org/Presentati ... -Flood.pdf.

Called and put my order on hold until the new finger design is implemented. The lights are diffidently a want for me so I don’t mind waiting an extra week or two rather than shipping lights back and forth. I wouldn’t want V2 lights without the corrected fingers though as it might be a concern on resale latter.

All in all I am relieved that my wait might be coming to an end. ;)
