I originally ordered one Einstein on May 27th, 2010 :D . Received call Wed. or Thursday (Nov. 11) that it was being sent out. UPS has it at my local depot, but since they don't deliver on Saturdays, I will have to wait until Monday to get it. :D

Originally ordered May 12, got a call back, and confirmed the order on the 15th (this Monday), and I was going to have them this week...

First it didn't ship because my credit card had expired since May 12. Then it didn't ship because they wanted to confirm that I knew about the "finger issue" and didn't want to wait for the fix (I asked, and there's no incentive to wait this time, so I said ship it.) Then it didn't ship because someone forgot to place my order in the "yes I know about the finger issue, ship it anyway" pile.

Hopefully they'll be on their way today or tomorrow.

They're helpful and friendly, yes, but seem a little disheveled. I have to cut them some slack, though, for dealing with all the orders and issues on top of the flooding. I'll be all smiles once the lights get here -- until I realize it's just in time to ship them back to fix the fingers issue.

Paul, and PCB staff,

can you please estimate the shipping date, if i place my order today ?
is the "late december" relevant for an order placed today ?

Thanks

They told me 4-6 weeks, I'm guessing a little longer cause of the current fixes and updates they need to make to new orders and v1 orders....

Excellent news!
I'll be waiting on the phone to ring or an email for delivery!
I assume you spoke with the AU PCB? Did they mention when they would be sending them out?
The faceplate issue would be the rubber band/finger tweak temp fix and not the complete newly redesigned faceplate.

Yea this was AU PCB. I think they have gotten a rather large shipment in with more expected tomorrow, Julie sounded overwhelmed.

I was told that the recent delay was for them to send the shipment back to manufacture to get the moldings replaced so I assume it's the new faceplate and not rubber bands.

PLMs were in the shipment as well!

When I spoke to Julie on the phone a week or so ago this is what she appeared to believe. Following the info posted here by Paul and tech about the parts schedules for the new replacement faceplates I can't see how this shipment could possibly have anything other than the temp fix.

Any details from Paul or TS for clarification on what went out to Australia???

Edit: Below is the info posted on October 28th with the mention of 45 days making the current shipment unlikely to have a permanent fix unless things have moved along very quickly. Hopefully we have some stronger springs in this shipment? Need some clarification as to what has arrived from those who would know.
