Finally my long waited Einsteins arrived! Have not tested them yet, but will see... :)

The best Christmas presents I had this year. Only need my mini vagabonds...

Did you get the updated fingers? I am still waiting on mine but hopefully will have them intime to have some PowerMC2s to go with em.

The fingers look fine on mine. Have no problem at all. Only need to send back one Einstein for a replacement, not because of the finger issue, but for heat/hardware issue.

The fingers on my both unit seems to work fine, can hold my 86" PLM V2 firmly. And the PLM is the heaviest modifier I have so far.

Hope this will help. :)

I received my order on the 21st of December. My original order date was somewhere in the end of July.
I did not receive any elastic band with mine so I assume that my Einstein's fingers should be good to go. I don't have any heavy modifiers yet, but will be probably get an octabank in the near future.
I'm having issues with my CST where it won,t fit in my cameras hot shoe!
My CC fits no problem, so I guess I'll have to sand down my CST'S foot a bit to make it fit?!?

Now, I await the vagabond mini :)

Hmm July order to December release means my November order probably won't be here till the end of this month. I think I need to send an email to sales.

we have the fingers and they are going into production units that should ship by the end of the week. V1 owners will start being contacted probably next week.

:D Ok now it feels like Christmas! :D With an original order date of 6/16/10, 199 days ago, I hope I'm near the top of the list.

Happy new year,

Jason

As I read this forum, I'm seeing that people that ordered in May / June / July'ish are just now getting their Einsteins. But I'm wondering if there will be a "flood gate" effect on these, where these will start flowing out of PCB? I ordered mine just before Christmas, and I'm wondering if there is any ETA on mine? I know it sounds impatient when some people have been waiting months for these... but... I'm impatient. How many people are ahead of me? ha ha.

They will be sent out as fast as they can be built up, tested, boxed and labeled for shipping. Add to that the exchange work done for v.1's. Don't expect a "flood gate" effect as you would if we had a warehouse full ready to go. Customer service will be able to give better time frame estimates.

Got my four Einstein’s today and all arrived in great condition. Special thanks to Kimberly at PCB for looking into my order for me. Complete order included stands, medium and large soft boxes, reflectors , grids, CSXCV transceivers, CST CyberSync and a Cyber Commander. After a quick unpack and setup and a little metering I was able to snap a few quick pics.

So after 207 days of waiting was it worth it? I think so. The build quality is nice, the interfaces are thoughtful and the sheer convenience with the wireless integration is awesome. I can now move on to setting up the rest of my studio and practicing with my lights.

Thanks PCB,

Jason

I received my einstein today after 7 months almost to the day (yesterday marked 7 months). Haven't had a chance to play with it but definitely a nice surprise as I missed the shipment email.
