Yes, they are. I have several people who work for me in Chile and they were on the job within hours of the earthquake there. As a manager, it felt great that they would do what they did for their customers. There was no loss of work. I also felt bad about the pain they went through.

The fact that your employees stay on the job, says volumes about how they feel about their customers. It would have been easy to make us wait a little while longer for our lights and equipment while they took care of their homes and families. I feel somewhat chagrined that I ordered my lights today, but that would have invalidated the sacrifice.

To all in sales and customer service at PCB, Inc., my heart goes out to you as well as my thanks. It must be a great place to work!

All employees I know of are in good spirits in spite of having to work in a sweat box all day. Maybe I'll take them all to a dinner party to thank them.

Paul, your people are so good and conscientious, I'd even be willing to help pick up the tab. I'll bet others here would, too.

Thank you Dick. You have already helped pick up the tab by supporting our company and buying our products.

I have just had my second go round with 2 different Pre-Orders. I have to say ... I have NEVER been treated by any other company better than I have by Paul Buff. I chatted with the sales rep yesterday for a little while and assured her that even though you guys aren't getting much press regarding the flood, you are very much in our thoughts up here in CT.

Nice gesture Paul .... I'm sure they will appreciate that.

Oh, BTW ... I was number 577

Well, I don't have a clue what my number in the Einstein pre-order queue is, but I did receive the three softboxes, reflectors, and CC unit two weeks ago. They are all sitting here idle, anxiously awaiting the Einstein trio. I'd call in to find out my queue number, but that would place a needless burden on a likely already frazzled customer support group, nor would it hasten receipt of the lights. So, I'll continue to be patient yet vigilant.

Paul, I'm just west of Boston (yeah, the People's Republic of Massachusetts, I know) and we had our own round of historic flooding throughout New England a month ago with many homes, businesses, roads, and bridges destroyed. Indeed, the enormous Warwick Mall in Rhode Island expects to be closed for many months to come. The entire first floor was under water. Trite though it may sound, I do feel your pain.

And, uh, no, it's not my real name, nor do I live in Holden, Mass. Thus, I am not really Dick Hertz from Holden. I only play one on TV...

These things happen and it takes strong individuals to deal with them. We cannot sue or blame our way out of them. End of story.

You know, if yall hadn't thrown out that tea all those years ago, you could now have used the bags to soak up all that flood water....

Didn't know it was gonna come back and haunt you did ya?

:)

All kidding aside, sorry for the troubles with the flood by the way :(

Technically, I am an agnostic and a Libertarian. For those who think an agnostic doesn't believe in a higher power, this is incorrect . . . an agnostic simple believes the presence or non-presence of a Biblical Creator can neither be proved nor disproved by Man (or Woman if you prefer). (I also am strongly spiritual person who fully supports true faith and the presence of a higher power, and that individuals are microcosms of that higher power). This statement prefaces my opinion that survival of the fittest is nature's first law, and that this law really comes into play in times such as Nashville and the Gulf Coast are now enduring. MLK had it right . . . we shall overcome if we work together.

I spent the first half of my life in CA and the rest in Nashville and am proud to say I have learned a tremendous amount from the dedicated ethics and hard work of southerners and middle Americans. I was once blind and I learned to see.

Sorry if I lead us off topic, but this stuff is more important to me than my business.

By the way, our full power came back on today so our employees no longer have to work in a sweat shop and Einstein production is increasing daily. We're working on a thank you party for their duty above and beyond.
