Hi,

Have a hard time hearing it in the studio with normal amount of background noise.

Outside on location, not a chance.

Is this something a firmware upgrade can change?

Great unit other than that.

Thanks.
Best,
Ed

I am not sure it is possible, but I will pass along the suggestion.

I asked this same question a while back. It is impossible to hear the ready beep when working in a public venue.

Adjustable, rather than just Louder, would be preferable. ;)

Any info on whether this is possible?

Thanks,

No, it is not adjustable via firmware. It would require a hardware change.

I would gladly pay extra for an adjustable volume beeper.

One of the main reasons I bought the Einstein was because it had an audible recycle beeper.

However, it's so quiet that if I am more than 10 feet away, or in a situation with music or people talking, I cannot hear it.

Please do something about this . . . . it's really important

Thank you . . . Ken Marcus

I finally used my steins on location and I have to say. I'm very happy with them now. But, i do agree. The recycle indicator can defiantly use some help, I was around a film crew today. While i was shooting some people stills, i couldn't hear the recycle indicator (ready beep) 75% of the time.

I'm the same way, wish it was louder. That being said, unless I'm shooting at full power or close to it, these things recycle almost instantly anyway... Even on the vagabond it's still pretty fast so I just trust it's going to fire at charged levels when I need it. I never machine gun fire when using flash...
