I'm new on this forum so I do not know if I'm at the right place.

I just bought 2 einstein with Cyber Commander along with 2 CSXCV CyberSync™ Transceivers.

I really love that systems, it works very well.

Now I would like to use a L-758DR Sekonic and link this to my system so I can trigger the flashes. I have not seen how to do this at this time.

Thank you for your help

Eric

There is not a integrated solution for the Sekonic line of light meters. You can, however, use the meter in "cordless" setting. You then hit the meter button and the meter waits for a flash. When the flash fires, the meter records and displays the reading. The flash would fire from the cyber commander being triggered in your other hand.

I'm wondering if you can just connect CyberSync™ Trigger Transmitter to your Sekonic and fire it this way. But remember that Cyber Commander can meter light as-well.

Yes, you can. However, if you want to meter individual lights or groups of lights, it is easier to do this with the Cyber Commander at the metering position.

I have a Sekonic L-758DR which I have calibrated with the Exposure Target II for my camera. I use a Pocket Wizard Plus II at each Einstein, plugged into the Sync port. This way, I can use the Sekonic freely to meter. I also have the Cyber Commander, and I will eventually spend the time to calibrate it relative to the Sekonic and build my own confidence with it. For now, my Sekonic with Pocket Wizards do the metering, and I use the Cyber Commander to control the lights.

I have done what tech support suggested. Set the light meter up to wait for the flash and then carry the cybercommander with you to trigger just the head(s) you want to measure. Works great.

I have suggested in a new thread that Buff's people and Sekonic try and work out an arrangement to develop a module that would fit the 358-758 line so we can keep the advantage of the profiling feature and still meter... We'll see if that floats.
