I know Buff and PocketWizard have worked together to develop the module for the E series lights.

What would the chances be of Buff's people taking on with Sekonic to develop an RF module for use inside the 358 or 758DR(Cine) models of Sekonic's flash meters?

This would avoid the frequent removal of the commander from the shoe, allow users of the 758 line to continue to use the 'camera profiling' part of that same line and possibly open up new developed features inside the firmware of the Commander itself.

I'm just asking..

A LOT of us use Buff.. A LOT use Sekonic, I think it's got legs.

If I understand correctly, Pocket Wizard came to us, and we had minimal involvement in the development of the MC2. Outside of that, I cannot comment on any other why's or wherefore's of a Sekonic module, or lack thereof.

To avoid the frequent removal of the Cyber Commander from the hotshoe, one can purchase a CST for the hotshoe, and keep the CC off camera.

As the Sekonic and PW marketing manager for the USA, I can tell you that the current Sekonic L-358 and L-758 meters can never trigger a CyberSync. Look to the antenna, not the module for the reason. The antenna is part of the meter body and tuned for either 344-354Mhz (USA) or 433 (Europe and other countries). CyberSyncs use 2.4Ghz. The differences in antenna design are too big to bridge. That said, the answer is the MC2 receiver developed by PocketWizard and the ControlTL MiniTT1 or FlexTT5 with AC3 ZoneController. Up until last week, Sekonic triggering was still not a possibility. That is because the RT-32 transmitters only transmitted the PW Standard signal. That changed with the introduction of the RT-32CTL. It transmits both the Standard and ControlTL signals. Now one can adjust the brightness of the E Series (or AlienBees and White Lightening) with the AC3 and then meter the brightness with the RT-32CTL equipped 358/758. The RT-32CTL should be available in the USA around Mid April.

This is the module that pops into the back of my L-758? Any chance that existing customers can get a discount? I love my PocketWizards (TT5's, TT1, AC3 and MC2's), but hate the compatibility issues when trying to use my Sekonic. As a result, it usually just sits in the pouch and never gets used, which has been a waste of $635.

I will need to ask that all matters regarding Pocket Wizard/MAC Group customer loyalty programs (for lack of any other term) be directed to Pocket Wizard/MAC Group directly, rather than discussed here. This is neither a technical nor Paul C Buff product question.
