I have Problems switching on my Einstein Flash:
After  connecting it to the powersource (socket 220V or Vagabond II) it will not turn on. No fan noise and the display stays dark.

If you connect it to the powersource and wait a few minutes before pushing the power button on the flash the flash will start and operate normal.

I replaced the powercable and the fuse but this did not change anything.
The Einstein has the latest firmware (FW29).
Anybody any ideas?

Thank you for your help.
Chris.

Did you update the firmware yourself? If so, is the SD card still in the unit? If so, remove it and see if the problem persists.

If that is not the case, are you using any remotes? Particularly if you are using an MC2 or CSXCV, Remove it and see if the problem persists.

Does the same thing happen with both a wall socket and VII (i.e. wont turn on, then will after a few minutes)?

-> There is no card SD left in the flash. The problem occourd before the firmwareupdate, too. I did the firmwareupdate because I thought it would fix the problem.

-> I disconnected any remotes for the testing but the problem persists.

-> Yes!
I had a shooting and used the VII. After a break of 20 minutes (I turned off the Einstein and the VII) the flash did not power on again. I continued the shooting with an ABR800 connected to the VII.

Hard to say exactly what's wrong. But, that would need to be addressed under warranty. You will need to contact your distributor to make arrangements for warranty service.
