Hi guys, my situation is: I bought 2 vagabond mini's 4 months ago , but i havent been using them (batteries) since January. Im sure there must be a recommend way to keep these batteries in the best storage mode (fully charged, empty, half way). They are already in a cool pand ventilated place (no overheat) so risk there. Please need some help, Regards, Joel |

Nope, no recommended storage. Lithium batteries can be stored in any state of (dis)charge for any length of time. The only storage we really recommend against is storing fully charged batteries in very hot environments (trunk of the car, attics, etc in summer). This is one of the main advantages over Lead Acid batteries, which require maintainance to prevent damage to the battery. |

I've had a VML and a couple of spare batteries stored away fully charged in my kitchen drawer for about nine months since the last power outage. Got one out yesterday to check it. VML charge indicator was 3/4+. This is consistent with the battery specs of retention of 70% of full charge for about one year when unused (Turned off of course.) Even if you store them in discharged condition there is no sulfating or damage to the battery . . . recharging them will restore them . . unlike SLA batteries. |
