Stetup :Einstein E640 with Power Mc2 trigger, Nikon D700 w/Flex mini TT1

I have the modeling light is set on the E640 to be independent from flash output. When I depress the trigger half way to focus the modeling light switches to tracking flash power and is too dark to focus. Please Help.

That sounds like a setting in the TT1. Since that is a function of a product we do not manufacture or even carry, we cannot answer the question directly.

However, below is the contact information for LPA (Pocket Wizard). They will be able to answer the question better than we can:

Called pocket wizard and they told me to change the setting for the mini tt1. In the pocket wizard utility go to advanced mode (checkbox)
Modeling ...uncheck modeling light control
